True Stories: A Reading Feat. Angela Palm, Author of 'Riverine'

We're thrilled to welcome to Nashville ANGELA PALM, author of RIVERINE: A MEMOIR FROM ANYWHERE BUT HERE, winner of the Graywolf Press Nonfiction Prize.

RIVERINE was a Kirkus Best Book of 2016, was selected by as a Powerful Memoir by Powerful Women, and was an Indie Next pick. Palm was a Bread Loaf Writers' Conference fellow in narrative nonfiction and has taught creative writing at Champlain College, New England Young Writers' Conference, The Writers' Barn, The Renegade Writers' Collective. and elsewhere. Her writing has appeared in Creative Nonfiction, Ecotone, Passages North, At Length Magazine, Entropy, Brevity, DIAGRAM, Essay Daily, Paper Darts, apt, SmokeLong Quarterly, Hippocampus Magazine, Midwestern Gothic, Little Fiction, Big Truths, Sundog Lit, and elsewhere. She works as an editor and lives in Vermont.

Reading with Angela Palm will be local writers KATRINA OTUONYE and CHLOE STILLWELL.

Katrina Otuonye is a writer and editor from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She lives in Nashville, and holds a BA from the University of Tennessee and an MFA from Chatham University. Katrina's work has appeared in Tarpaulin Sky Press, Litro Magazine, Crab Orchard Review, and The Toast, among others. She’s currently hard at work on a novel and a collection of creative nonfiction.

Chloe Stillwell is a writer and comedian living in Nashville, Tennessee. She has a writing degree from the New School, and trained in comedy at UCB-LA. She currently covers culture for Playboy Magazine and politics for Paste Magazine, while producing comedy shows in Nashville and touring the South East US.
