In today’s competitive environment where the quality and price playing fields are increasingly level, trademarks are often the only way consumers differentiate one company from another. Consequently, trademarks play a critical role in driving new and repeat business. Do you know federally registered trademarks enjoy a right or priory, nationwide in effect, even in markets you have yet to enter? Isn’t it time you apply to federally register your trademark?

Now you can in an informative class offered by Paul W. Kruse. By the end of class, you will leave with an application to federally register your mark on file with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as well as an understanding of what to do next. This course is valued at $200 but is being offered to Nashville Chamber members at no cost thanks to Business Studio's preferred legal partner Bone McAllester Norton. The course is free, however, there will be a cost (approx $325) to register your trademark with the USPTO.

CLASS REQUIREMENTS

Please bring a laptop computer, an image file of your trademark, an electronic example of how you use your trademark in commerce, a credit card with which to pay the USPTO, and a willingness to learn. No prior experience necessary!

ABOUT THE TEACHER: PAUL W. KRUSE

Paul has more than 20 years of experience in trademarks. While working at the USPTO early in his career, Paul examined more than 4,400 trademark applications and has prosecuted countless applications to registration as a private attorney since. Paul has been consistently selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers since 2006 and was named Best Lawyers’ Nashville Trademark Law Lawyer of the Year in 2012.
